Team,

After reviewing my rather crispy wiring in the 67' Cornet, it appears I'm in the market for a new engine harness. Any opinions on M&H and or Yearone who sells them? I have gotten a few from them in the past and had a couple of issues, but was wondering if there are any others out there that I could score off the shelf?

I just pick up a M&H harness for my 68RR and it is perfect match. Had to buy it through yearone.

......indeed, and it appears I'll need to go there as well......time to start hunting for a promo code.

I've bought my harnesses from both Year One and Classic Industries and they appeared to be the same quality, if not the same company.

YearOne has the licensing rights and lets M&H make the harnesses and sells to Classic Industries to sell.

Classic has a discount right now.
Use code AUG14 and receive up to 15% off* plus orders over $299.00 get Free Ground Shipping* Offer ends August 10th, 2014 at midnight PST.

Or wait until YearOne has a 30% off sale, coming up soon.

I've had good luck with the M&H ones from Year One. Like the others said, wait for a 30% sale.

Some people have said the engine compartment harness is on backorder. Will not change when you order but might change about when you get it.

.....wel, and here's the bad news: M&H makes harnesses for the Military and as a result, are a year behind on classic car orders.....I called Year One to see when the harness I needed would be in, HU206B, and they said they had on order for those going back to November of last year from M&H. I called M&H, and they verified it, but stated that the units would not hit until Oct, 17th .......so that goes for many of their reproduction harnesses.......call before you buy folks. On a side note "SAVE30" almost always works with year one, and it will net you 30% off.

i built my own.just bought replacement terminals for the plugs.little crimp, some solder, and heat shrink.took a few hours, but works great.as long as your connectors are not melted you can rebuild them. 10411292_237489503112653_6391885681296785854_n.jpg

Awesome engine sir! My harness is original and brittle as hell, so I need the whole enchilada as far as the Engine harness goes. Lights are just fine, but everything else south of the bulkhead for the motor is crispy.

thanx.i mean you can rebuild the harness including new connectors at the bulkhead.the male ends inside the plug are removable and replaceable.

.......indeed, but for $99 bucks Evans will get me the correct harness with connector and in about a week. Having worked with these guys before, they are good to go.

Be very careful with Evans. Their QC has been know to be sub standard. They will however make it right but it will set you back some time to get the job done...cr8crshr/Tuck

...roger that, but considering M&H's issues at the moment, the car is not safe to run as it is, so their harness is going to be vastly bette then what have...

Mine was perfect. I even needed a couple extra plugs for the bulkhead which he sent. Very helpful on the phone as well as i had some question as to what went where.

Build your own for under $100 more like $60 Just open up the old one count the qty and colors and go to any auto parts or ACE and get rolls of it or by the foot. the cnectors are cheap to and good brass ones at classic work or go to the terminal store online and get those either way you can't go wrong it's easy just do on at a time and before you know it you will be done start in the engine bay the work the inside the ngo do the inside to rear.

..... like to save doe like the next guy, but the wires I have from most big box auto joints are not nearly the right color and I wanted to keep it as stock as possible. I have hope these guys will get me the right stuff.
