I just saw this thread. This is my wagon. It's a '70 Satellite (non-sport, so it doesn't have the goofy woodgrain or chrome pillars) that I've converted to a 9 passenger with the 3rd seat. It has a 318/700R4 overdrive, 3.23 gears & gets 19mpg on the freeway. I take it everywhere and tow a teardrop trailer with it to go camping. Lots of fun.

Powerflite I have a post for 1970 Road runners GTX and Sat. post one of your nice wagon on there also :headbang:

Post # 40 mid way down shows a strange rear window cleaner (not a wiper).

Never seen that. Was that available on a B body?

That is a B-Body Sport Satellite Wagon

That was on 1970 Sport Satellite Wagon Advert. ,
{I had it tagged/labeled wrong as a Fury Wagon for some stupid reason}
I'm not sure if it was on a std Satellite Belvedere Coronet wagon etc.

"I think" it was just a stouter rubber window "sweep" {for lack of a better term}
on the power rear window option, that went almost all the way across the window in the channel,
like normal window lace or rubber does....

Dirt roads use to be an issue for wagons. Of course there isn't hardly any around or wagons either for that matter. They were always coming out with different air deflectors too. Designed to direct the air over the rear window.
I knew a guy who sent a dirt sample (from the road he lived on) to the manufacturer, when he ordered his car. They matched it! It was a Olds Toronado, kind of an orange color. Crazy!

You mean explorers, trailblazers, Durangos....they're NOT station wagons????

My coronet came from Texas, and in that part of TX, the dirt and rocks are almost exactly the same color as the car is, especially from a distance.

The conspiracy theorist in me wants to believe the car was ordered this way for camouflage.

It was so uncanny, I even brought back a couple of rocks with me to show the effect.

Here's mine, most of the mechanical is done. Goes to paint November 1st.67 Wagon.jpg

400 4 barrel wagon, sweet.

Factory dual exhaust?

Factory duals w/HP manifolds & dual snorkel air cleaner. 9 1/4 axle with 3.21's. Has torque boxes too. Added a factory trans cooler and PS cooler as I want to eventually put a hitch on it.

Not a Mopar, but my uncle had one just like this... his paint wasn't as cool but without the B-pillar it was really different, for a wagon..... loved that car.
