In case someone searches for this topic in the future, I'll post my results: Two came off with a bit of struggle. I held the posts against the side of my cabinet saw and pried the clips open. The other two were tightly crimped and the tabs would not bend no matter what I tried. I drilled two small holes in the clip and drove in a #6 wood screw only far enough to grab a bite. Once the screw was secured, I gently moved the screw with the screwdriver, bending up the tabs. The tabs that are bent up will be hammered flat and the holes will not be visible once the cover is installed. I used a Robertson screw as it holds tight in the driver.
