Where can I find a bottom wire reinforced radiator hose for the 440 in my 65 Plymouth Belvedere II?

A stainless steel tig rod wound around a pipe or socket will make a nice inner spring.

Will keep water pump for sucking hose flat shutting of water supply from radiator.

if you have ever had a lower hose suck shut, than an inner spring will save your bacon. Besides, it's extra insurance and doesn't cost but a few cents for a rod. This very same thing on a buddy's 340, wound up a fig rod for him and he was back in business.

OK. Never had it happen. Is it a symptom of other problems?

A stuck t-stat could help contribute to hose collapsing.

Thanks to everyone. Ordered 2 springs.

I picked one up at the local Auto Zone. It wasn't specific to my vehicle, just a generic reinforced hose the right size and length.

pop up sprinklers have a stainless spring that is perfect...$7 at home depot if you are ever in a hurry.
