If it is indeed a 1970 K-Frame, then that coin says it originally fits only cars with a 318 or 383 engine. For it to be a 'B' 440 engine, the coin needs to read '79' - which relates to the last two digits of the part number.

the coin will loosley tell you what it came out of, it's the last 2 digits of the part number for the k frame starting in '70 IIRC, they're not always on there

Yeep, the 79 coin will have a skid plate on it

I have a NOS k-frame and the "79" tag was wire to it. I have had other cars that it was welded on.
