I have a 69 GTX with a 440 and am looking for the best fitting full length header. What been the best fit for everyone?

TTI's. Polished. Ceramic. Get wallet.

Haha. When I found myself looking for headers I asked the same question. I found that majority will point to TTI. I was just in denial because of the cost to purchase these headers... Are you in denial as well?

You want the truth... You can't handle the truth. Neither could I, so I went with Doug's. LMAO.

TTI is the best, well worth the price too, still 1/4 the price of a custom built set

TTi with the C5 coating like Dennis stated. Just yesterday I ordered a set for my Road Runner. Check with Bill at Chicago Connection. He has had the best pricing mostly because he pays all the shipping fees. They are also one of the "good" companies out there to deal with.

The budget man!! I'm always on a budget - therefore Doug's SC for me. Never had a problem.

TTI's fit well. Hooker Super Comps do to. Regular Comps don't. Headmans fit pretty well too.

tti's for me! in my opinion the workmanship and fit are great.

I used some regular comps on a small block A body with PS and they fit like a glove. Not one ding or dent. But the cheapos do hang low.

Ya they fit small blocks pretty good but on big blocks you have to hammer them in like old set of Blackjacks.

The old BlackJacks I think they just welded a different flange on and you hammered them to fit ford, chevy or mopar.lol

Mopar Specific Headers

Schumacher Creative Services http://www.engine-swaps.com/ also makes some best great fitting tuned/even tube lengths {non-tuned/uneven tube lengths} head, for the bolt-on's style/out of the box stuff, long tube, stepped & tri-Y's, raw, chrome or ceramic coated or not, priced very close to the TTI's, I like both brands & Doug's too, BUT most all of my builds, have a custom home built headers & they're a PITA & pricey too, more than most brands for just the mandrel bent tubing components, but the best by-far, if you want the proper length/sized tubes & style of collectors, for your specific build/needs....

when it come to quality headers, one size/style/brand doesn't fit all needs...
especially when it comes to Mopars

Kooks S/ST are supped to be pretty good too, I haven't ever used any thou...

I use to run allot of Hookers Super Comps, Stahl & Heddman's Race headers too,
many moons ago now,
but there's far better fitting & more appropriate headers thou...

good luck

Has anybody ever made a set of big block headers that don't need to be wacked with a ball peen hammer?

RC...TTI's and Doug's fitment are pretty much a no brainer install when it comes to fitment. I have heard that the stock starters are a pain and more of a problem with 90% of the Header installs. Me? I went the easy way out and used the HP MOPAR manifolds with a TTI system from them back. I still had to have an exhaust shop clean up the install but I am real happy with the results. More for a street cruiser, I would prefer the HP's over Headers but that is just me....cr8crshr/Tuck

Thank all of you guys for the help. It definitely isn't a Mopar project if it isn't expensive.

I went with the Hedman elites mainly because I was running out of budget. The only problem I had was the bell housing, I had to trim it a little. Also the stock starter worked out and and MSD mini started would not fit with them.
