Looking for a manual box and if possible the adapter for power to manual. I'm converting from power in my 66 coronet so I will have a barely used Saginaw pump, pulley, and brackets from 440 source as well as new hose and leaky power steering box that I could use for partial trade. Thanks stew

I got a couple good boxes here, no adapter or coupler though

send me a PM

stewsta, hello CRYPLYDOG here. do you know the diameter of the shaft that goes in the pitman arm. I have a very good and clean large shaft box with steering pot. there are two sizes, 5/8 or .625, and 3/4 or .750 , on the steering coupling shaft and both are 36 spline. the pitman arm shaft is either 1.220 or 1.110 dimensions are a very close approximation due to old grease and budwiser. good luck.

Cryplydog. Isn't the larger one from the 70's?

stew, not that I know of. its my opinion that all RWD a-b-c body as well as the later cars up into the late 70s and maybe even other full size models have these 2 shaft deminsions. to what end I do not know, just an opinion. I do know there is approx. a 60-65# weight differential between manual/power. Richard Erenberg had a very detailed article in mopar action magazine on this subject and I will yield to it and him. also, we changed out power steering for manual on my sons 64-440 dodge last winter and after studying several other opinions, that is what we learned. we did have to pull the steering column and left it assembled then cut it in the band saw to lengthen it. I cut a pc. of good c/r stock and chucked it in the lathe to put a good 45*champher on both ends then clamped all in a pc of small angle iron to weld it 100*. you also must scribe a good line on the steering shaft to keep the steering wheel in proper position when installed. I think the pc of shaft I cut to lengthen it was about 1-1/4 or so. you need to measure to make sure.
