My initial thought as well, Cranky.

Unfortunately not all Americans revere our flag the same. I would have immediately made my way to 'her' and respectfully made the owner aware this is no way to stow our symbol of freedom, then carefully furled it around the pole and asked whe he would like it kept so as not to get soiled any more.

Thanks again. Removed all the mouse poop from under the back seat. Everything is solid so far. Im lucky it was stored in a garage with a concrete floor.

The first item moved was the flag. I then folded it properly and gave it to his wife who then stored it. I am positive this person meant no disrespect to the flag. I have met his family and I am positive.

thanks. went through the carbs today. rear carb had a stripped bowl for the needle and seat and had to order one from holley. front carb didnt have the float spring in the hole on the float arm causing it to be jammed upwards, center carb had a rock hard accelerator pump that didnt move. previous owner said there was a fuel leak at the carbs,so we will see. hopefully get her running when the bowl comes in.
 
Carb are all rebuilt. It runs and drives good now.might be missing a tooth on the fly wheel. Door panels came with the car but will need front seat covers.IMG_1270.jpgIMG_1271.jpgIMG_1269.jpg
