030.jpg031.jpg032.jpg033.jpg040.jpg035.jpg044.jpg045.jpgtoday I started to do the jams engine comp. trunk edges. I did not paint the valve covers or intake because they are being changed out with powder coated 3 deuce intake and valve covers in super chrome.

Looks good. Is that the original color? That may have been what mine started out with. Good luck with the build.

yea it's the org. color. It was a hard color to match it was not on the comp. file the color had to be found on microfiche the only changes are for now are a 3 deuce intake in the future a 396 stroker. I didn't like the color when I got the car but a the Pate swap meet I saw a 65 barracuda in this color in fresh paint and fell in love with it. different!

I love the color! My 65 coronet was originally the same color. I want to paint it back. Pm me the paint code please! Thanks

Looks great. Did you paint the engine bay with the motor in or out? Paint code would be great as I think my 66 was that color form the factory as I can see a bit from some scratched off paint on a drip rail.

Hey 66four40 I think the paint code is ZZ1 Gold Poly. It looks identical to my color which is on the fender tag as ZZ1.

the correct paint factory code is AA1 gold poly it's on the fender tag. Du Pont didn't have the formula on the comp. so we called Du Pont and they looked it up on the old archives and I got the right formula
