Hello all, i've found myself in the situation of having to transport my 69 RR that's currently on a rotisserie. I need to get it out from the body shop its in asap. It doesn't have wheels on it currently so i am trying to figure out the best way to get this done. I am guessing i need to build a cart or something, anyone done this before and have any suggestions? Thanks.

Shouldnt be too much trouble...
I've done this before with a 67 GTO.
1.Trailer (no railings)
2. 4X4 or 8X8 donnage
3. cargo straps, good ones like I have, US Mil style...

Load it on the flat bed trailer sitting on the Donnage (Wood)
Strap it down...

OR you can make (fabricate) a metal bodt dolley with casters...
Sit the body on the dolley.

I just used a couple of floor jacks with a 4ft piece of 4X4 under the reinforced portion of the body to jack to required height.

Cheapest method is make a support in the shape of a rectangle out of 2"X6" wood with casters

Get 4 heavyduty 4"-5" casters weld them to 2x4 tubing ,maybe 2ft long, weld a plate to the top of each tube and drill holes in plate to attach to the frame of the car. Simple n easy. May want to drill holes before welding to post

You didn't say if you owned the rotisserie. If so just use that. If not maybe make an arrangement w/ the shop. Just make sure your flatbed guy secures it properly.

x2, done it this way a few times...

Thanks for all the replies, i do not own the rotisserie and i don't think its something the shop will let me use to transport the vehicle with. Super-Bee_Ski, how exactly did you get the car onto the trailer from being on the rotisserie?

Sorry you're in this position! I purchased a Mopar body cart from Auto Twirler for $310.00 and it works great!
If you have the time, call them and put a rush on the shipping. If you were closer to me I'd let you borrow mine.
Maybe someone has one that's closer to you? Good luck with the dillemma!

Oh man, i can even begin to explain my nightmares with the people I've worked with on this car. This is the second shop I've had to break out of, its taken its toll on me lately but i am trying to keep my head up and not let these people tarnish my beloved project. The sad part is i've been nothing but understanding of any delays or issues the shops have had only to get treated very poorly. Thanks guys...

In the time it takes to make something for the back you could just bolt in a rear. For the front I just used a piece of channel, welded 2 casters to it and bolted it where the K frame bolts to. (I should have used heavier casters).
