Going through my parts piles and started taking inventory of my side markers.

I have 8 of the bezels and as I was grading them, I noticed that there was 3 different styles, and what I think are 4 different part numbers.

I looked at the 70/71 parts book (shown as section 8-14-1, pg 8-99) and cant find any of the numbers (text page 8-5 of parts book) I pulled off of these bezels.

They breakdown as such:

(5) - 347900(6?)7 all of these have a small thin 'pin' on one short end

(1) - 3479120

(1) - 3479121

(1) - 3479132

The last three have a small thin 'pin' on one long side. I also noticed that some of the lens assemblies have corresponding holes in them to fit the 'pins', but not all of them (I haven't sorted all of them out yet.)

So, does anyone have any idea how many different lens/bezel combinations are out there for the 71's?

I was going through some parts and things today and came across 4 of the bezels off my 71. I was going to say the numbers were 3479007, but one looks like 3479G7 and another looks like 3479C7 if that helps at all. They all have the pin on the short side (1).
BTW, the pin fits through a notch in the fender and quarter and goes into the markers. Ron.

i read somewhere online there is a differance between
2dr and 4 dr 71 ply sidemarkers
but besides the part number
i have no clue of what that is?

2-dr and 4-dr take different side markers and bezels. They look the same but have a different contour. The ones for 4-dr even say 4-door only on the housings.
This holds true for Charger and Coronet.
The lens, housing and bezel were available as a package only so you will not find the separate part numbers in the book.
The pins are in different locations between 2 and 4 door. 2 door has the pin centered on the end.

Also wagon take it own rear light assy. Different than 4-dr and 2-dr.

Wow, thank you, everyone!!

I never even considered the 4-door possibility. I have no idea where I would have gotten 4-door bezels from....all my parts cars over the years were 2-doors. lol

Again, thank you for the clarification!!
