ok so i sold my 67 satty, and purchased this 1965 coronet 500. it is a real basket case with most if not all of its trim removed and placed in the trunk. i have no experience with these so i will be asking for alot of help. the car was built in l L.A. and still has the original dark turquoise paint. the fender tag was removed and no where to be found.it is how ever a pretty solid car. so the goal is a nice driver, original color with the black vinyl top replaced and black int. it has a 69 318 in it now that looks like it may have been rebuilt so we are going to go with that.

Looks like a great project....good luck and keep us updated on your progress.

paid a visit to desert valley auto parts( desert car kings ) and picked up some much needed parts, radio bezel windshield to dash trim, and some emblems, i guess we are spoiled being here in the desert, great parts cars very little rust. oh and a perfect horn ring.

does anyone have information on where to get a console for this car? they seem to be pretty elusive. and a 500 trunk trim panel. the aftermarket really has very little for these. at least what i have found.

looks like a great project. It would be nice to have a D.V.A.P. type salvage yard around Mid-Michigan. Good luck with the 65.
