I have a 1974 charger with a 360 5.9L engine. It has started to overheat now because it use to run 175 degrees and now its running 205 degrees and up. I was wondering where i can find an exact fit radiator for it that's aluminum? Or what is a good one to get for it? I looked on ebay and none of them say they are exact fit, I would like to reuse the shrouding and all the other things on the old one. If any body can help it would be appreciated.

I bought a Champion Aluminum Radiator for my 71 Cuda. I was skeptical at first because of the price being so low (~$200) compared to other brands. To my surprise it fit perfectly and does a good job with keeping things cool. I noticed right away the engine compartment gets a bit hotter due to the rad heat transfer. But I hear that's expected with aluminum rads. Your Charger looks like it takes a Champion part #CC503 but double check that. They give lots of inlet/outlet, ect measurements you can compare to your stock one. Check their website for information but check ebay, Jegs, or others for the cheapest price with free delivery.

You may want to first find out why you are overheating. A new rad may not solve the issue.

As slepr1 said, find out why its overheating, has the radiator in the car been serviced? It may be gunked up inside, are the fins mashed down on the front preventing air flow.

Anyway, if you are thinking about a new one, find out first what you can do with the original, and if money is not a concern, call the guys at Glen Ray radiator, maybe they can recore it with more cores, as they did with mine for my 73. And you get to keep the original look and fit.

Bob at GlenRay is great.
Unless you are dead set on an aluminum one, I would check around you locally and have yours rebuilt. Go triple core with your original and everything is sure to fit - and you will not have any issues with cooling.
Just my 2 cents.

Simply have your existing radiator "Re-Cored"
Be sure you local shop installs a 3 core
Have them do a Heavy duty re-core

By the way, 205 is not hot ..in my opinion.

I agree have agood recore they can go to 3 cors then switch to electric fans my 67 gtx has a big griffen alumnin rad and it still need a electic fan in trafic

For what it costs to recore one you could buy 2 aluminum ones

They may work as well but my only problem with the aluminum ones they look like a Jr High metal shop project on a first try.

That's Funny!!!!^^^^^
