Billet Aluminum Oil Filter ?

45 microns dont sound all that great.is the element just screen or some kind of combo element?it dont say in the description.wont pay for itself untill about 45000 miles or so.only reason i would see to run it would be a polish job and run on a show car.

Hmmm,
Good question Cranky....were dealing with PPM (parts per million)

My only question is:
At $100 per unit...
If I can get a WIX filter for $10, I can do 10 oil changes and have spent $100 for the filter.
Now, in a muscle car, changing oil at every 2,000 miles that would be 20K miles for me...

I'll stay with the WIX

But I see your point...neat item...based on the Volkswagon/Porsche "Oberg" design?

45 microns isn't real good. 45 microns isn't real good as a gas filter either. i'm sure it's a screen filter. what would concern me the most is does the filter have an anti-drainback valve. bet it don't. anti-drainback has become a big issue with me. even those grand and glorious wix and k&n filters have crummy anti-drainback.

Easiest solution for this would be to develop a disposable filter element capable of greater than 45 microns. Then at an oil change just throw away the old and in with the new. I do like the Billet look though I will stay with my WIX, FoMoCo, MOPAR or K&N for that matter...cr8crshr/Tuck
