There is a 'silver paint' on various pieces of trim on my 66 Belvedere - on the headlight doors, trunk trim panel and in the middle of the body side molding. I'll have to polish this trim and will probably have to redo that 'paint'. Does anyone know if this is a special type of paint or other coating? It's not flat but not gloss either. Any info will be appreciated.

I believe it was called Argent silver. I used a Krylon spray called "Dull Aluminum" that matched up real well. I don't know if it is still available or not. It was years ago.

Thanks to both. I found it online. Now I can begin to polish the trim and not worry about getting a little schmutz on the painted area.
Thanks again.

Krylon "dull aluminium" is a perfect match. Used it on the grille for my Charger, it's still around ans if you do a search on my buildthread I have the part number somewhere in there. Think you can get it through Amazon if your local hardware store doesn't carry it.

Thanks for the link. I ordered a couple cans.
