Hi.. I just wanted to share this article and video with everyone. I had an opportunity to drive the Hellcat Challenger for a week and do what others haven't: drive it like I owned it. We did do a couple burnouts (how can you not do that, right?) but for the most part I treated it as if it was my own, driving to and from work in bumper to bumper traffic, visiting friends, hanging out, cruising, and even grocery shopping.

I also put it on the freeway at 65 mph cruise control and managed 25.2 mpg for a 116 mile trip. The article is: One Week With A Hellcat – How Civil Can 707 Horsepower Be?

It gives a real assessment of what it's like to drive the car and not spend the entire time proving what everyone already knows: that it's a bad *** musclecar. Enjoy!

Yup, I want to know too! I also have been able to drive a couple of pre-production vehicles over the years but never nothing like this! But is the Hell Cat on dealer lots now?

I'm the editor for Street Legal TV... and that was my article. I hit up Chrysler and told them I wanted to do a real review instead of just beating the hell out of it... they liked it!

The Hellcat has been delivered to a few new owners already... slowly filling orders across the country.

Wow! That was an awesome read! You did bring up one concern I had with it gas to notice ratio! They are kind of stealthy and it would be hard not to goof off a LOT with it, which certainly would be expensive. I really love the look of the 2015 too. The subtle changes are an omage to the 70/ to 71 styling on the old challengers.

Thank you for sharing!

Mike

Thanks for that writeup! The more I hear and read about it, the more I want one....

The dealer back tracked and said they put the exorbitant price on the car so people would stop asking them for price and sell it, yeah right. They tried to hide it in their lot like an 800 pound gorilla.

I saw that earlier this month or late last month on Street Legal TV newsletter,
why are we just hearing your account know ??,
should or maybe you could have shared with us earlier ??
or was there some restraint on releasing it to the rest of the general public ??

I see you don't really post much here... never mind, just curious why it wasn't shared earlier

Hey Budnicks, it was shared earlier. Didn't you see my post back on 11/25 right after the Street Legal TV article came out?

Sorry, I was going to share it earlier, but I had seen that someone else had shared it with each of the A, B, & E body forums. I wasn't sure if it had been seen, so I decided to share it again just in case. After he posted it, I didn't want to step on his post by sharing it again at the same time.

Thanks for the clarification I'm happy now lmao nice write up thanks for sharing anything hellcat is fun to read about.

That's very awesome. btw, do you have pics of your 65 Belvedere somewhere? That is a sweet looking car, as are all the others.
