Is anyone running wilwood brakes on their B-body with a factory disc/drum master cylinder and power booster. I bought a factory style power booster and a disc/ drum master cylinder setup from the ramman and wanna put some big brakes on the front. I bought the ssbc a156 brake kit for my b body charger and it doesnt stop at all. Any input would be great. Thanks

I have talked with a few Mopar owners who had installed disc brake kits on their cars from other manufactures other then Wilwood and a they all have said they should of put out the little more money for a Wilwood kit....a couple actually scrapped the old kit and replaced them with a Wilwood kit. ..and everyone that I have talked to with a Wilwood kit loves them.
Plan on putting Wilwood's on mine...........the only thing that I can see about Wilwood kits is that they do not seem to make a kit that will fit the 14" stock Mopar wheels...yet........I did read somewhere that they just came out with a kit that will fit the Mustang 14" wheels.....maybe they will come out with one for the Mopars..........

I know its not a b body but I put a set of wilwoods on my 67 dart I'm working on and it's suppose to be okay for 14" unless I just have a odd set of factory steel wheels they are 14x6 they rubbed a little bit on the caliper. I ordered up so,e new 15" wheels for the front and will get the rear later

Thanks guys. I think im gonna order a set of wilwoods and scrap my old kit

I read on a different forum that Wilwoods don't work with the Magnum 500 wheels 14", 15" or 17".

i am running 12.19 " 4 piston wilwoods on all 4 corners in my 68 charger also running stock booster and wilwood dual tandem master cylinder.
all good and works well, i dont quite get enough vacuum from my big cam so in the futire i will put a hydroboost setup on

Thanks for the input guys. Im gonna run some magnumforce dropped spindles and probably order their front dics brake kit from them. Im planning on running 18 inch rims up front so i dont think clearance should be an issue. Just cant decide between 12.19, 13, or 14 inch rotors. Dont want the rotor to look too small in the 18 inch rim

I have a 4 wheel set of Strange Engineering disc brake conversions showing up here Monday. I have heard these are good. amazing the weight difference from drum to disc. the weight for my fronts each 49 lbs =98 versus the Strange setup for both is 33lbs front and 24lbs for the rear set.

13" should look great with 18" image.jpgimage.jpg

Here is mine with 19" wheels 13" brake up front and 20" wheels with 12.19 in rear for an idea.

Car looks good! I am going to give magnumforce a call monday and order their 2" dropped spindles and 12.88 inch disc brake kit. Hopefully i have no fitament issues. Running a 18" wheel up front.

The Wilwoods that I installed back in 2002 are 10.75 I believe on the fronts.

I do not think there were any other options at the time.
