Waking up the beast

Just saw that on the other post. Thank you.
How do those seats come out?

Start a fine thread sheetrock screw into the hole and pry it out with a diagonal cutter. Be gentle with them because you will need to tap them back in. The Ramman has a video showing the disassembly under the title master cylinder repair, or something similar.

might not be the way you want to go but, i just dump the stock distribution block and run a inline adjustable proportioning valve to the back brakes only. i tee the fronts off the master cylinder. works good on both my cars, disc on front, drum rear.

I just took off my front and rear bumpers and brackets. They weighed In at 72.6 pounds total. I'm sending my bumper brackets out to be used as templates for aluminum ones. I'll be ordering glass bumpers in a week or so. Hopefully, that alone should gain me .050- .060.

Holy cannoli! What did those front brackets weigh in at?

Well, my glass rear bumper weighed about 3 lbs, so I'd think the front weighs a bit less. So easily less than 15 lbs total including all the brackets. That's a savings of about 60 lbs. add in a deck lid and you're at about 90 lbs savings.

Regarding the brakes...
I've done this on my Duster, Valiant and now the Belvedere:
Kept the stock brake distribution block, never used an adjustable proportion valve.
Wilwood disc fronts and factory drum rear.
Never had an issue stopping. No grabbing or fading.
Drove these on the street and on the strip.
Belvedere stops fine from 130-136.
Just sayin...keep it simple.

I think that's the way I'm going.

Yay!
I just lost 10 lbs. myself, so there is a tenth!

I know, the 10 lbs. plus the other 90

how about that great looking, stock style but heavy OE interior & OE glass etc. ??

do you have to leave that "per the NENDRA" or some other Nostalgia Racing assoc. Rules ??

I have the interior completely out right now. I have to put a bar in but I'm going to get bars made to clear the rear seat just in case. I'm also going to be getting racing seat for the front. The glass is staying for right now. I have too many things going on at once and no room to do it. I know the president of Nendra and he can be bought with a couple sushi rolls.

Just finished Installing this but it's going to have to wait till tomorrow to get bled.

I also just ordered my front and rear glass bumpers.
