Shopping for a 6 qt oil pan. Wanting a stock look. 1962 Dodge 440 rb. I don't want any clearance issues.

Thanks in advance.

I've used 2 of the 6 quart Hemi pans from 440 Source on my 1969 cars with no problems. Not sure if they would fit your 62 though.

6qt hemi pan won't fit the early chassis, i tried. there isn't a 6qt pan for the early b's out there.

I dont have a 6 qt as I use a Moroso 7 qt pan and it fits in my car that has the stock 63 K-frame with no mods. It fits right in and has plenty or road clearance as its never hit the road. Ron

I have a 7 QT. PAN ON 62 Dodge Polara 500 with 440 the only clearance problem is.
Right front corner of pan had no clearance with the K-Member ground out 1/8" around corner of pan.
Motor torques to right so that's fine. I think 6 Qt. would need to be checked.

I got my early "B" big block pan,7 quart from Mancini. I had a '69 pan on it first and had the same issues as Jackpot50.

I got my pan from 440 source and it fit no mods at all its on a 63 fury

Thanks to everyone for your replies. Never thought that this was going to take much effort to figure out. I don't want to install one without someone saying that they have it on their car and it fits without any problems.

This one is perfect, flush with the k member

Mr.B, would you happen to have the part number?

sorry no part number but is the one for 80 dollars I got the gold one

Thanks Mr.B. that's the four quart pan. Looks nice and a good price on all of their pans. Im looking for at least an extra quart pan if I can find one that works...

khryslerkid...yeah, that's my oil pan post.

Figured you had already seen it. One thing I don't like about the pan is, there's no stiffening ribs between the bolt holes. Other than that, it slipped right into place. No trimming needed, even with the 1/2" pickup.

I didn't notice the missing ribs.
Did you order yours thru Summit? And what gasket did you chose, fiber, cork?

Yeah, got it from Summit.

The pan seems to be a re-pop, with mods to fit, for clearances. Listed as a 5 qt. I tried compostite gaskets...but, they squished out while torqueing down. (Also used a stock windage tray)
Went with cork gaskets, since I already had a set. Lol, also made a stiffening plate, fitting around the entire gasket flange, since the flange would bend fairly easy...pretty much just like any pan does. Sometimes I'm bad on overkill.

Simply used it since it fit, with no clearance issues.
I used the 1/2" pickup version of the 'recommended' pickup tube. With the tray...the pickup sits 1/4" from the pan bottom, maybe less.
