Local Speedometer shop had a tool sale this morning.

I scored a few things...

My Dewalt 8.4 CFM home/backup compressor may need a motor.

Not looking forward to that.

It's nice, but I really need more CFM

They had a compressor like this for $250 OBO.

There is NO data plate or model number. Motor is 3 HP.

If I can confirm it is more than 8.4 CFM, I'm a buyer, as the 2 HP motor for my Dewalt is almost 2 bills.

That recall affects a whole pile of compressors.
Some of the best name brands.

The tank is by Buckeye Boiler. Same company as my big Bel-Air.

I went ahead and bought it. $175 and it included a new in the box filter and oiler.

Still don't know the CFM, but pricing 2 and 3 HP motors started getting ridiculous.

The harbor freight 3 HP is "on sale" for $165.

Worst case- I have a good old school 3 HP motor for my Dewalt/Emglo for the cost of a Chinese unit.

Best case is that I now have a 10-12 CFM unit that will be better for sandblasting.
