I'm getting ready to finally drive my Belvedere is spring . I live about 1/2 mile down a gravel road until I hit the blacktop. I cringe to think of rock chips on my new paint job. What do you guys think about mud flaps ,cool or not cool?

When we are out cruising we attach mud flaps using small binder clips available at the office supply store. This helps prevent paint chips. If we take the cars to a show, the mud flaps can easily be removed.

Definitely NOT cool ..., but functional, cheap insurance.

Uncool. But, necessary under some circumstances. I had that soft application stuff applied to the lowers under the paint on the 69 Sport Sat. Worked well.

Do the clear bra type material behind your wheels on all 4 corners. I did on my car, and nobody notices it unless I point it out.

Tried mini-flaps on a 71 Road Runner, the mud just flew by them like they were not even there. The protective coatings would be the way to go.

i agree with car nut.the 3m works really good.i use it on the race car for the slick rubber.peals right off.

Never thought of that. Really like that Idea.

A lot of newer cars come with mud flaps that are molded to the body, and they usually look decent. On these old cars, and probably having to use some universal fit application, would not look the best.
