Yard find

Very cool car. I love Oregon for many things but all of the cool cars hiding out is unreal. What part of Oregon are you from btw? Let us know how it cleans up?

Anybody familiar with that disc brake setup? Is it K-H 4-piston stuff?

You found it in where in Oregon? Nice find

Stuff shown looks good. You have the high $ max cooling radiator. Front discs look like the Bendix 4-piston variety from a pre-70 car. 70 B's used the single piston type mounted on the forward part of the wheel. Again appears like parts were transferred from other car(s) but they used some really good stuff. What color will it be? The blue looks good but it would be a knockout with the original bright yellow & black.

Black and yellow like the Steelers.

You asked for info on how the air cleaner should look. Here are some pics for you.
Not sure if the oval base should be gloss black or satin. I think it is satin but seems most end up gloss in the new method of restoring. Also I included a link to an ebay auction for the proper air cleaner decal you will need with a picture. Nice find.

Hi,

I have a 1970 Road Runner with a 383 and Air Grabber. Here is a picture of my engine (pre-restoration) with the correct air cleaner and decal. Hope this helps.

GREAT CAR!!!

Thanks for those pictures of the 383 air cleaner. I ordered those decals and applied them already. Looks good.
I routed my plug wires over the top of the valve covers but see most pictures, it shows them routed in front of the head and then back. Is that preferred?
I installed the new carpet. New trunk mat. Removed the seats and recovered them. Didn't find the sheet. Installed them and they look good. Now I need to remove the back seat so I can fit the sail panels and the new rear package tray. Headliner is good.
When I had the doors apart to free up the window rollers, I found that the driver side is missing the plastic guide that attaches in the drilled hole in top leading edge of the door window. I haven't found a replacement yet. Any ideas?
Cleaned up and adjusted the Hurst shifter. It works to good--now I need tires! The steel cords were slapping the inner fenders on the way home from the--- JOY RIDE---!

Very cool car, nice find and welcome

looks like the license plates say Oregon. What part did you find it. Nice find.

Found it in Pendleton
Took the day off tomorrow to get a few more things done to it. To many projects.

Got the Roadrunner running and driving good. Everything is coming together kinda fast. Even took out the signal light package out of the back of the hood and rebuilt it. Used clear LED light bulbs. Got the new carpet and seats in and washed the car to take on a drive. Closed the passenger door and the passenger side rear glass shattered. So back into the shop it went.
While waiting on the glass I decided to touch up the paint. Not happening like I planned. Hard to blend old paint. I'm wasting time and money on blue paint.
So --I decided to repaint it the original color of Lemon Twist Yellow. Took all the interior back out and got started on the paint prep work. So much for leaving it alone and driving it.
