Greetings!
Wanted to share a couple of photos of my 66. I've owned it since 97, it's been an ongoing project over the years. In 2006, I replaced the original 318 with a 500 cid stroker project that was built in Mooresville, NC. Lots of fun!
Thanks for looking.

hi and welcome to the site very nice looking 66 :headbang:

Very nice car. Unique color too. I love the 66 b-cars. Welcome aboard. I'd like to hear more about the car!

Greetings;
The car was painted this color when I got it. It's not factory as you might have guessed. It's actually a 1986 GMC truck factory color with some fine metal flake. Paint's getting tired these days, starting to show lots of checking and wear and tear. It's one of those cars that looks great at night or from 20 feet.
I've had the car since 1997, it was my 40th birthday to myself. It was a pretty basic 318 auto car, but I was most interested that it was intact and most everything was working when I bought it. It looked funny - had old school 14 inch tires, which look lost in the rear wheel opening of our Chargers. Over the years, been updating things each Winter, and trying to keep up with everything.
The motor project was intended to be a mild big block, but my brothers (who race(Quintin Brothers Auto and Performance in Burlington, VT)) ended up sending my parts and other goodies. In the end it ended up making 563HP and 640 ft-lbs at 1800rpm. Big change from the 318!!
Always liked the 66 since they came out, just didn't realize it would take me until 40 to find a nice one with an excellent body and most things working.
