Guys - looking to buy an aluminum max wedge scoop. I would also buy the hood for a reasonable price. PM me if anyone has one.

Rob

There is a guy in Ohio I believe named Cole that makes them by hand. Be prepared to spend money. This is not an ez task to make. (419)215-7270 Give him a try...

thanks guys. I've seen pictures of Joey's stuff. he is amazing. I emailed him last week and have not heard from him yet. I figured I will try and find an OEM first and if nothing pops up, I will give him a call and try to get one ordered.

I have a Hemi scoop on order from Joey Cole and the best way to reach him is to call, he doesn't seem to be big on emailing - in my case anyway. Good luck with your search, Al

I have a 63 scoop from the Tyn Man in Ohio?
I think it is Joey Cole...

He is pricey...but the best.
I had mine made in 2008

I also purchased the "template" to locate it on the hood...ebay...great guy...great price!

yep. same guy. If I can't find an OEM scoop, I will definitely call him. ALDAL.. how long has it taken for your scoop?

He cashed my check on Feb. 4, 2014 so I am hoping to see a scoop any day....he told me up front that I needed to be patient it was going to take time. When 2059 ordered his scoop for his 64 I think it took 8 months or so. I guess when I talked to Joey he seemed like a stand up guy so I am not worried but will need the scoop this spring for my build so I will call him sometime in the next few weeks.

You're right Aldal, it took a while however; there was alot more happening on Joey's side which is why it took that amount of time for mine. Purchasing and retooling an old stamping machine from the 40's or 50's if I recall. He doesn't do email or txting, best is to call periodically. Hogpowr; Be patient, write the check and know you will eventually get the absolute best product available. He is a Master. Let us know your decision.

thanks guys. I'm hoping to find an OEM. There is a person who apparently has one for sale, but is in mexico on vacation for a while. Would love to have a real NOS. If not, Joey will get a call. You are telling me though, I should expect to wait 1 full year?! :icon_cry: yikes, I was hoping to have the car painted within 12 months....

There was guy in Venezuela that was advertising them on moparts site Like $1,200.00 for one! They looked good in picture form I've never seen one for real. Can't recall his name!

I waited 7 months for mine.
I "got on him" and he finally finished it.
BEST QUALITY SCOOP OUT THERE..BAR NONE!

HOWEVER: A good "Bud" of mine has a 66 Plymouth belvedere I with the 426 Hemi
All original "white" car.
Lowest mile 66 Plymouth Belvedere I Hemi Car in existence...and he installed a $100 dollar fiberglass scoop on his car.
His 66 has been on TV, Magazines etc.
His scoop looks great!

So, it is all about "what you want"
