Replacing the shocks on my 68 Satellite...want to stiffen it up..any suggestions...maybe stuff you can get from NAPA ..if at all possible..

Not from NAPA but I got the Bilsteins from PST. Not cheap but easily worth every penny as it completely changed the feel/ride quality of the car! Night & Day difference

Dont know if they still make 'em but the old Monroe Gas-Matics were good.

Ditto, amazing difference.

I put Bilsteins on mine too. I can't say how they work, because the car isn't done yet, but general consensus seem to be that they are among the best (pricey too).

Bilstein. PST is a vendor, get a discount code. About $100 a corner and worth every penny.

I installed a set of KYB's otherwise known as "Keep Your Bilsteins". KYBs get mixed reviews and are known for their firm ride. Got them for cheap but haven't been able to test them since the car is stored for the winter.

Which Bilsteins do I need.. ? there is a bunch of them there..

Hotchkis used to sell "Mopar B Body Tuned" Bilsteins. PST can give you the right application.

I have Bilsteins also on my 73 RR, but I cant remember how it drove 15 years ago with stock shocks, and after she got back on the road last spring they seem to do the job.

Just called Bilsteins Canadian distributor..they say there is nothing they have for a 68 Satellite..

As stated, check out P-S-T. They are a vendor here. Go to forums and then scroll down to the vendors. You will find details on the discount code there.

KYBs if you don't drive it a lot or dn't want to spend $400 on shocks. They are stiffer than stock and the silver color looks cool. I put them on my 69 Coronet R/T. They ride great.

Firm Feel has them. You want the race tuned ones:

I originally bought mine from Hotchkis (race tuned), but they don't carry them anymore. I think they now have a different brand.

As others have said, Bilsteins are worth it. Perfect ride. No KYB's for leaf spring cars please. I had them on my rear coil spring impala and they balanced out the soft ride because the KYB's are a bit stiff. On our leaf spring B-bodies, for mostly street use Bilsteins are the ticket.

If you can't locate a discount code, just call pst, and tell them your a member here and they will verify immediately and good discount. That's how I got mine. Love the bilsteins! Made a huge difference on my charger!

I put Viking in the rear and the blue Monroes on the front. The vikings are expensive but tunable and rebuildable. I will install Vikings on the front when I get more cash.

I got mine from PST through this site. The only recommendation I'll make is see if they can ship USPS instead of UPS because I got BEAT UP on customs charges unless you use a box on the Detroit side then that might be your best option to go pick up from London.
