I ran a very similar cam to the Mini Express. It's a General Kinetics .634/.645 & 314/318. It made more power than my Comp .720 - 272 roller & at least equal to the Comp .660 - 280 roller. Mushroom cams really do work. Made awful lot of power for the NASCAR guys! Your buyer will be happy!

MoPar stock cars ran various Racer Brown cams, like the STX-22, 24 and 25, depending on the track and where they wanted the torque band. I'm looking for a 22, 24 or 25!!

As I recall the Mopar Grand National NASCAR guys in the 60's & early 70's had to run flat tappet cams, no rollers. So the mushroom lifters increased the lifter face diameter, allowing for faster ramp rates, approaching roller cams. I knew a couple of guys that put up with the inconvenience of the mushrooms & ran the Mini Express because roller lifters seemed to have reliability issues. Like I said mushrooms, good power.

My old late 60s nascar rule books state no mushroom lifters, either.

At some point in the later 70's they allowed them. I have to see when...

I stand corrected!! Maybe another example of legislation to limit Mopar wins??
