has anyone removed one from a 69 b body it has 5 1/2 inch bolts 2 on both sides and one in the middle right above the heavy spring,i tried a 3/8 extension with 1/2 socket.but the 3/8 exyension is kinda thick and there is a part of assembly that will not let me get extension down on nut to grip and turn nut to remove, there is a long bolt on the left side that goes to other side that i think that big spring connects to,can that be removed so i can get a ratchet in there without using a extension? any ideas? thanks

All the ones I pulle d out I did as an assembly. Just the 4 bolts through the fire wall and the 2 at the column mount and the dash bracket.

I removed one many years ago using 3/8" drive sockets - you'll need a universal joint and deep sockets. Lots of head twisting tongue clenching and remember to remove the driver's seat first up.

i am doing it as a assembly as well, but mine has 5 bolts,4 outside and one in the very middle of bracket up top,can i remove that spring up top of bracket?

Just make sure the peddle is all the way down to the floor ! That spring Will get ya !!

how do you remove the spring?i know some clutches you buy, you do not need to have the spring attached. thanks

Yea the Diophram clutches have Lite peddle pressure so you want to remove it. If memory serves me rite there is a mounting bracket. At one end you can in bolt after you push it All the way to the floor to Release the spring pressure !

Ditto on the universal joint or flex socket.
