My name's John

I have a couple 70 Bees, one black one purple. Purple one is a painted shell currently. Need some funds to continue, so I listed my '68 Satellite Wagon here and on CL. I've restored Mopars professionally for over a decade & raced and loved em even longer. I worked at Rocket here in Oly as the lead assembly dude for about 8 years until the partners went their separate ways. Did some amazing cars while there. My name comes from my specialty which are headliners, though I can do just about everything on these cars but body & paint... Anyway I'm sure there'll be some familiar people on here, I'm just needing to come out of hiding and be more social again!

Talk to y'all soon

John

hi and welcome to the site but :worthless_thread:

Welcome John, my brother lives in Aberdeen.

We would love to see some pictures of the bees and other work you have done.

Wwelcome!

Hi John!
I'm Casey, and am a transplant to WA up here in Marysville. (1.5 years)Have my cars with me, but left all my spares back in my old state. Thanks God I had time and some funds to kind of "finish" my stuff before shipping up.
Rocket and Tallzag have good reputations up here, and the Sunbust show is sure a must-attend event, and a bunch of other cool stuff I have yet to see.Welcome aboard, and I want to say that I have not spent much time here, but am impressed with the general easygoing tone.I am sort of tired of one of the 'other" sites where frequent posters are "allowed" to call people names at will.
Welcome aboard, and I'd like to meet sometime.Coming out of your shell is a VERY good thing, life is short.
Regards, C

Nice cars and salutations everyone. Here is a pic of my purple car when it first came home last fall. Honestly haven't done much to it, it needs some clearcoat buffing done and body & paint is NOT my forte. Having a hell of a time finding someone to do it. I paid a guy a weeks' work and all he did was run compound over it over & over- no wet sanding! So now theres a bunch of waves in it. The paint laid nice, just need some 'good eyes' to come over and finish smoothing it out! purplebee.jpg

Sorry Tony, don't have a bench seat for ya. Casey, for sure I'll be seeing you sometime. Love to check out your stable. My GF loves to shop at Tulalip so maybe I'll just drop her off there & come over sometime! My Balck Bee is a rough roller, needs everything. I built up a nice 440 and stuffed it in this green '70, raced it a little a few years ago but it need new front end stuff to make it really track worthy, that's the main reason I'm selling my Satellite wagon, I need the room! Here's a couple pics of it. I used to bracket race a 340 Duster (Moulin Rouge!) and a Shelby Dakota at Bremerton in the 90's. Built this green car for street and an occasional trip to the strip... need to put a scoop on the hood to get any kind of air filter otherwise I'm stuck with this pie plate...coro2.jpgcoro1.jpg

Yup, I'll PM you with digits and coordinates. Yeah you could get here pretty quick from the casino area.
Love the green car...I believe I still have a set of raisin brans as well as a Demon double snorkel back in "the old country".
TTYL!
