Sitting here watching the season premiere and these goofs just spent $2000 on a gauge cluster that needs restored. Am I wrong or did they way over pay

They wayyyyyyy overpaid.

I'm wondering how folks feel about a shop who gives you a quote without really doing their true due diligence and checking the car out, and then giving you the "we need to talk..." phone call?

Big time goofs!! I howled at that! Until I thought, they're driving the prices up!

I guess that makes good tv...? But I don't have $ to waste like that.

I also thought the cars turned out great but I missed most of the show. I did however see the 1970 300-Hurst cars that they ran across out looking for cars. Very cool.

I tuned in 15 minutes or so late & spent the rest of the episode wondering when I would see some work being done on the "featured" cars. Saw a few shots, but was disappointed in time allotted to them.

I saw the whole thing but the last 5 mins it didn't record it for some reason
I was laughing my *** off when the guy said 25 (thought to my safe man I wish I could get good deals like that) then he said $2500 my wife looked at me and said what is he smokeing I could buy a car for that . Oh well I guess if you need it you'll pay what ever someone is asking (he should of went him self though) yeah was kinda looking for a little bit of work being done I guess the show does what it's supposed to do keep us entertained.
At least it was mostly mopars this time

I also thought the cars turned out nice, but not a fan of the stripe on the roadrunner or the bat wings on the roadrunner and the bee!!!! Loved the Chrysler 300's! even the tribute one that guy did was done well.

Those two are dumb & dumber, 2ks for a cluster ?

I'm glad that I'm not the only one that has a pet peeve about bumble bee stripes on a Plymouth.

I would have like to have seen if Kevin got their money back. But that does show the difference between an individual buying parts for their own car and someone buying parts for a shop with a production schedule. You need a part you can afford. They need the right part right now, and will pay for it because they're passing the cost on to someone else.

Yes sir they took a nice road runner and killed it with that stupid bumble bee stripe on the rear. Who does that? Said they had to put there touch on both cars...well it sucked!

If the customer is ok with it that is all that matters.

That's true I guess different strokes for different folks...guess that why some folks like Camaros...to me its like putting a pistol grip shifter in a pre 1970 car....it just don't belong!

Not if the customer ultimately paid for it...or no other could be found within the timeline of getting the car complete. That doesn't mean "I" would have paid that much, just that in that line of business the timeline can sometimes over-rides the cost of an item or service performed.
