Where is the proper location for the LH thread & RH thread wheel studs..... front/rear or driverside/passengerside? How hard is it to change out the wheel stud?

I thought it was that simple but I wanted to make sure. Thanks.

Is it easier to change studs on a disc brake wheel or drum brake wheel?

I did the rear drums on my 68. Just put a piece of wood with a hole in it behind the flange (hole lines up with the stud) and then drive the stud out with a few whacks of the hammer. To install new studs put them in the hole. Stack a bunch of washers on it, put a lugnut/open nut on it and then torque it home.

After reinstalling the wheel, drive it for a few miles then make sure it's torqued back down again. I usually check it two or three times and by then it is fully seated.

I found I have RH on both passengerside wheels and LH on the driverside rear drum and RH on the driverside front disc. Trying to figure out if I should make the front LH or change the back to RH to match the rest of the car.

make it all RH ...... we wont tell anyone :icon_winkle:
