Project freshen up: 1968 Charger

For 40 large, you can buy it and be envious of yourself.

More than fair on the 40 large R/C. That is though a fantastic example of an un-restored survivor. Your '69 would fit into the NAT's original category if you were so inclined. The pic of the Dutchman Panel on the left side below the glass and trim does show some early decaying and rust but that was always case with the 68-up B Body cars. The '66 and '67's also had that issue as well as in the front windshield molding area. I have a little there on my '66 and with the windshield replacement going to take place starting next week, I can do some inspecting and hopefully just with new trim clips...old originals have quite a few rusted...I will be OK as long as the car never sees rain again. But the '69 is SSSWWWEEETTTT!!!! Tuck

It's been a good week for me car-wise. We have paint FINALLY!

These are taken through the paint booth door today. The hood needed a small spot repair with the base silver & that's why it is flat, but it should be on the hood by now....

Looks really nice ,can't wait till it's in the sunlight...you sure have a lot goin' on at the moment.....would be good to be you at the moment :blob1:

Looks great RC! I assume a black vinyl top? I think silver is a color like Limelight or Lemon Twist - it needs some black to offset it and then it looks awesome...

Classy choice of colors! I have a twin to your original gold/black top combo and often wonder how that would look with a little modern pizazz. Pearl coat or something over the gold to give it a little more pop?

Buddy i truly love the color, this is going to look sweet man!! :) Just a thought but Keystone classic wheels sure would fit nice, again, just my thinking :)

I truly like that "Silver" with the Black vinyl roof!

Yes sir, that will work!

Great look!

Awesome car and color, silver is definitely one of my favorites for that body.

They will look sweet, There is so many to choose from, its like having to pick the color we are wanting if we aren't going original.. I would like to find some simple chrome reverses, original rims chromed, back ones deep dish but normal wheels.. If you remember them you know the ones im talking about. Good luck with her, she looks sweet she do.. :)

Well, it's finally home. Now the fun begins.
