1972 Viper Powered Charger

So, instead of posting.. I've been doing stuff..
Ran all of the brake lines.. -8 Fuel line.. Installed the Aeromotive Stealth 340 into the tank (Awesome, and easy,) modified the Gen IV wiring harness to fit my Gen III engine.. Installed the rear end.. I like things that say "Track use only, not for street use."

Had valve covers and oil pan powdercoated.. I had a friend modify the pan for tie rod clearance issues.. Uhh.. Hood is finished, painted underneath and such.. Waiting on a -6 45* connector for the fuel pump.. Then the tank can go in and I can finish the nightmare of AN hose fittings, filter, and the regulator..

What else.. Car stuff..

Man, this is looking sweet and it sure sounds like your enjoying it, I love these generation Chargers, sleek and fine.. ENJOY! :)

Can't wait so see the engine sitting in it.

Looking good Kevman, that's one heck of a project! I put the same Areromotive 340 kit in my car.

Keep up the good work!

Wow that's gonna be a sweeeeet ride!!!! Snake Charger!

Accomplished some stuff.. WIring harness was installed, new plug wires.. All of which has to be done while the intake is off.. Figured hey.. Might as well repaint it..

Added a crossmember to the K-member, to protect the Rack incase of a bottoming out situation.. If anyone ever wants to attempt this project, I'd gladly supply them with measurements for the Motor mounts, and Rack mounts. I used a QA1 K-member, they said the modifications would not harm the strength of the unit.

Uhh.. Exhaust is attached... Brakes are done, and plumbed.. I have to get motivated on getting a custom rad made, and I should be able to fire it up middle, to end of May.. Too many headaches keep popping up in between installations.. For example.. No speedo output on the tail stock (2004-2005) they switched to the rear end.. I also discovered it's from a Viper truck, meaning a closer ratio fourth, fifth, and sixth gear, which is a bonus..

Mods, may I request that this be moved to the new "Resto-mods and pro-touring" section of this forum?

Nice.

Looks like you still got room for two more cylinders.

cool build I love the color too
should be really nice when done,
looks great so far

good luck & happy V-10 Moparing, rowing thru them gears too...LOl

It's looking good your almost there (closer then me with my build) that thing will be sweet when you finish it . Keep going .

Thanks guys! I try and do a little bit every day.. I've been making my own wiring harnesses, as well, so most of those are all in.. Not worth taking pictures of T90 wires with white labels, and hockey tape though..

Still waiting on the Viper truck drive shaft yoke.. I spent $404 on a custom Chrome Moly drive shaft that is pretty much a paper weight until I get that piece.. The rack is all mounted, and the power steering lines to the Hydro-boost, and rack are all plumbed.. I should have the wiring finished on Saturday, I just have to throw in some head phones, and get motivated..

Automotive wiring sucks.. Regardless, it runs, and sounds mean as hell, so.. Here it is.

that is going to be nice

Congrats on getting it running, lot's of fun in the near future. Sounds great!

That is great ,it sounds very good . Now we're getting close to a burn out video .

Sounds great! Always a relief when an engine fires up nicely. Now I must get stuck into mine.

Oh definitely, it's a huge step in the right direction, that's for sure.. Now I can wet-sand, and paint the car.. And hopefully get this baby done before summer ends!
