Ok so i bought a 70 road runner it was all there minus the engine. Originally a 383 4speed car . It sat outside for years and trunk pan and deck filler were gone. Lower quarters also rotted away. So heres the plan i have in place
1. Replace the back half of the car with amd sheetmetal (underway
2. RMI Alterkation front suspension. ( on order )
3. RMI. Street lynx rear suspension with 35 spline 9 inch tru trac 4:11 (on order)
4. Tremec T-56 Magnum Extreme Six speed
, four inch aluminum driveshaft, billet flywheel, science friction atomic twin disc , hydraulic clutch. ( on order from american powertrain)
5. John Arruza 540 hemi ( on order wont be ready for 7 mo)
6. Dual quad Efi from FHO. ( ordered today )
i will be posting pics snd progress as we go along. And look forward to being a part of this forum

Welcome to the forum Panheadchuck from PA!

We'd love to see some pictures of your project! It sounds like a cool build!

I wish I have your kind $$$. You are planning on 50k on the lower end of the budget there

Sounds like a build that's right up my alley! 747Mopar did a great thread you can reference for your T56 install.

Definitely a big $$ build but sounds like it's gonna be awesome!

Great sounding project. I am looking forward to watching your progress. Tons of help here for the asking!
Welcome on.

I'm subscribing to this. I'm looking at the alterkation parts as well if I don't end up selling the car before I get to it.

you cant post that kind of list without pics...we are car **** freaks...WE NEED PICS....by the way i put a rms alterktion in my 70 and it was flawless. it fits perfect, worth every penny in my book.

im trying to figure out how to post pics

Welcome from Fort Fun Colorado.
I think I recognize that shop.
Do you know Mike Morris at Auto Collision Specialists by chance?
PM me if you do.

Are you going to keep those sweet shackles? LOL

Nice! Looks like it was originally a Limelight air grabber car. I am partial to those!!!

What color are you planning to make it?

Limelight and re do the grabber . The injection is a stage v intake and twin 1300 cfm throttle bodies . from Tim @ FHO , im having a custom baseplate made so i can still use the air grabber , the interior is going to be all stock , 4 speed style and buckets with no console . The cluster is at Redline getting re done and the amp to volt conversion . i want the car to look mostly factory until you look underneath , :headbang:

I love the idea of the double overdrive , as i can run 4:11 gears and still cruise at 80 mph @ 2200 rpm , I was also going to do TTI headers BUT , the engine builder told me Hooker 5210s only, He said he built a .070 over 426 made 714 on the dyno with the hookers , wanted to try out the ttis and lost 94 hp with no other changes and had to jet down

Let me guess. He sells the Hookers but doesn't sell TTI.

I'm on board! Sounds like a sweet build, one that I'm very interested in watching. How's your bank account doing right now haha? I'd hate to see the price tag on all those goodies but one things for sure it will pay for itself in smiles.:headbang: sounds great.

No he doesent sell either of them. He builds hemis , about 2 a month and thats all he does. Has an awesome reputation and really good references. Beleive me i was all on board for the tti headers as they have a great rep for fit and finish. However i cant turn my back on 94 horsepower and i have the added benifit of the alterktion k member so i have alot more room and hopefully wont run into the dreaded hooker fitment issues. On a built of this kind im looking for 800-825 horspower so "dinging " the headers to make them fit is NOT an option. If they dont fit then ill find something that does. I was reccomended the hooker 5210 equal length super comps. And most of the complaints i read about are fitment with the stock components. Well there is nothing under my car thats stock. Im putting together a brutal driver. I absolutly cant stand trailer queens. And i HATE washing a car cuz it haz a little dust on it. Build it for brutal power and comfort and drive it like u stole it.

If you're looking at 800-825 HP on Motor what kind of compression are we talking? If you are thinking Procharger in the future there's definitely going to be some give and take there.

I've built and dyno'd a bunch of mopars, wedges, hemis, small blocks, no where near Barton, Arruza, or the likes, but I have NEVER seen 94hp in like sized headers. EVER. I'm not saying this guy is wrong, but there had to be 'other' factors involved.

No idea and im sure there were but who knows. Anyway i stopped by and took a couple more pics. I do have a question , is lime light different than. Sassy grass or sublime ? Or are they all the same color and different dodge/plymouth designations?

Limelight = Plymouth where Sublime = Dodge, but they are the same color.

Sassy grass is a different color.
