If any of you watched Fast and Loud last night, whats your take on them hacking up that beautiful 71 challenger.

Fast and loud screws up almost every classic car they work on.Can't believe they got 150k for a hacked challenger...Some people have too much money...which is NOT my case

Don't believe everything you see on TV. To me,Fast and loud is one off the most scripted automotive shows on television.

That was a 1971 340 R/T Challenger, NOT a '72. And there was never a "Scat Pak" Challenger as a model; that was the marketing campaign. They are (more or less) a hot rod shop, NOT a restoration shop. What do you guys expect??? And why do you watch??? It's his $47,500 to do whatever he wants to with that car. And the drivetrain swap, with the suspension mods, was pretty damn cool!

You are ever so welcome. Happy to oblige. Besides, you asked, right??? Thought I'd help straighten a couple of details out for ya!

Hmmm, make the car faster, handle better, improve the crappy stock seating...yup, they certainly hacked up the Challenger.

I owned a 1970 340 4-speed Challenger in 1983. The car had just 60K original miles. It handled like crap, as all bone-stock E-bodies do. FnL did their car a favor.

The real reason I watch is to hide in the shadows and patiently wait for the Asian interior lady to call them "*** Monkey".

Wait for it..........

I'd like to have the seats she/they did with the improved side bolsters. I just shake my head at anyone throwing HIGH $$$$'s into these cars as I cannot. Some of you guys are paying more for shocks/disc brake kits/tubular stuff than I paid for my Charger.

asked for an opinion...not a lecture....

-Their 12v+ cranking power feed issue for the fuel pump, has been addressed a million times by anyone that has installed a CDI type ignition like a MSD 6A ect..ect.. And the ignition switch does supply both 12V+ on and 12V+ cranking, unlike their master electrician and bearded fella claim.
-I don't know if they all took turns putting their arms and elbows all over the tops of the fenders? Elbows leave dents. I guess a set of fender covers just tops out the budget.
-Ordering different parts, because a set of magnum force tubular control arms will not dial in enough camber?

Anyone that know's half of anything can easily spot all the wrong doings or misinformation. I cough it up for what it is...television entertainment. But again, the disgruntled Asian lady preaching "*** monkey" is always the highlight of the show for me.

A HUGE project!
Anything Richard Rawlings does attracts money
That car will sell for BIG BUCKS

We may not like what he did to the car, but somebody paid big bucks for the car. I hope they wanted the original engine with the deal. Never been a big fan of these characters, but since they have been helping with the Hellcat rollout, I tolerate them more. They have been working on Mopars a lot more since the deal to push the Hellcat so I will watch a little for now.

Havoline will be having a contest this summer to give away the car - they were the ones that bought it.

My only question is why?all the work and money and at the he had done nothing. He started with a car with a 3rd gen hemi and ended with a car with a 3rd gen hemi. He should have just bought a sublime hellcat.

And no one picked up on the fact that they took a new cars motor and used it in a 150k deal which was just ridiculous then ma mopar asked for it back and they stuck outside their gate for pick up with no motor! wtf why are we not hearing about this? lmao

"out to lunch keys on the floor"

As much advertising as Richard does for Chrysler, that was probably the arrangement all along, to use that drivetrain. Besides, Chrysler was going to crush the car to begin with.
