View attachment 249766 Hello, Can anyone identify this PR Daytona. I know it's a well known photo, but was wondering where it is at right now. The only details that distinguish it from other Daytona's are:
1. Passenger side mirror
2. location of picture=?
3. Add/picture that identifies it as a Public Relations (PR) car, (as I understand, only the first few Daytona's built were PR cars.
4. non Hemi car
5. Who would have access to driving on this track? I would assume someone who was connected to Nascar.
Any info would be helpful.
Thanks, Steve

6. driving backwards on said track...

Photo was taken at MIS.
My old Daytona, XX29L9B383272 had a pass side mirror.

6. driving backwards on said track...

Photo was taken from the grandstands. Saw my first 'wingcar' race at MIS in June of 1970. So, I know - I was there.

Thank you for the info odcics2!! As you mention, the car is NOT driving backwards on the track, however, is driving past the grandstands. The angle of the picture makes it appear that there is a slope with a high side to the outside. The fence, however, (with the top curved inward), is clear evidence that the car is approaching the grandstands from the left. What a site that would have been!!!! Thanks again, Steve
