So one of our project build plans includes a 540-inch all aluminum Hemi for the 65 Belvedere. We, of course, want this to be a beast, so we were looking at adding some boost to it as well. The build will be done by Ray Barton, and we will add the boost here at our own shop.

The first thought was an 8-71 Weiand supercharger, but we might be changing things up and going to a twin turbo set up with 62mm turbos. Which do you think has a better 'wow factor'?

If you can provide some pics of 62-65 B body cars with a twin turbo Gen II hemi, please share them! Thanks!

(I know this isn't the car I'm asking about, just found the pic and not sure what car it is.)

I have a 540 cube, all aluminum GENII going together with twin 76mm precisions. If I did a roots style I'd use a big 14 series unit so I could move more air at a lower rpm with less heat. I can tell you, your 62's might be a bit on the small side for those cubes. My 76's are for what I'm looking to do.

What kind of power are you looking to make with your build? We're aiming for 800-900, because it is a frequently driven street car and I won't be doing any drag racing. (other than a couple times to get numbers). What are you using for an intake, exhaust headers, if you don't mind my asking. We'll likely do custom stainless headers here, and a Barton Intake with either FAST XFI sportsman or similar. thanks.

I'm looking for 1800hp. I have built an aluminum intake plenum that bolts to an indy mod man base that I modified for 16 injectors controlled by Holley Dominator EFI. I made custom mild steel headers and if they work out, I will duplicate in stainless later on. My naturally aspirated 526 makes nearly 800 in my street car. Won't take much to make your goals.

We make 800 with a non intercooled carburated 360 on 15psi with a single 75mm. Street driven all the time. I don't see why anyone would want much more HP on the street. This thing will light the 275 drag radials from a 50mph roll in high gear. Runs easy 9.80's in street trim at 3800lbs.
