Hyrdgoon's - project angrybird

Thanks Rick, Don't blame you for staying with the #'s matching column shift and you're stroker definitely makes the torque to leave some rubber!

I don't know how quick my T56 swap will happen it's likely dependent on getting my 4 speed sold but I'm not in a rush so I don't care if I drive the car this season with the 4 spd. Sounds like Frank's got himself another nice project! I'll look forward to seeing this one if not at Moparfest I'll have to take a drive out to visit you guys!

Hey All!

First off just want to say another thankyou to USARR for gifting me a Gold Membership upgrade! As though making the Fer Racin' stickers wasn't enough this is much appreciated and what a great guy he is. And also another HUGE thanks to Devin (747Mopar) who has gone WAY above and beyond helping me with every aspect of ordering/ receiving and custom fabricating parts for the T56 swap! This place seriously has the greatest people and I'm fortunate to call some of you friends! To pay it forward I'm starting a charitable fund to get Kahn the Torq Thrusts he's always wanted!!! :)!!!

Getting to meet Kahn and 747 recently was absolutely awesome and I can't wait to get together with those 2 again as well as make new Mopar friends along the way.

So I haven't been posting much in this thread lately as not much has really been happening with the car. I've been debating the future changes I have in mind and trying to move towards assembling the parts to make it happen. The T56 is now home and waiting to go in but I just got back from lunch with another great member and new friend Kamcuda. I recalled a thread from last fall where Kamcuda posted a message about his Procharged RoadRuiner and stated he wanted to sell his D1X unit to move to a more serious F series Procharger unit. That stuck in my head and I just struck the deal to buy the D1X unit and some associated parts for the swap! So I'm thinking at the same time the Angrybird becomes a 6 speed it will also become Procharged! Plan is to run about 8lbs boost with a custom built intercooler which will probably be split into 2 units to keep airflow to the rad.

I'll hopefully have the car out in the next 2 weeks and will post pics of the new Halo's once installed. Pretty excited about that this car is going to be like when I get it through it's next growth spurt :)

All decisions have been made with a Fer Racin' intent!

Cheers!

Few pics of everything shiny and happy at home and a pic of the Procharger on it's old home.

You're right Goon, lotta real decent level headed fella's around here. Truly a great site/folks indeed. Your upgrades sound pretty righteous! That Plymouth's gonna be a road rocket! Looking forward to the upgrades.

Thanks Prop, Unfortunately the wallet will need to be replenished some before I can scrape together everything else I need for the Procharger install and to get the tranny in so I'll likely be driving the car this entire summer exactly as is which is still fine by me!

Come on Kahn!! You know you love your Torq thrusts and Beastie Boooooyyyyssss!! (SMILE)

hahaha!! Thanks Brother! You played a huge part in taking this thing to the next level I was hoping to achieve!

Looked back at my order for the centre section from Dr. Diff yesterday and realized I ordered the 7290 U Bolt Yoke instead of the 1350 :( So my question being how much stronger is the 1350? Is this something I should definitely swap out with everything else. The car isn't really set up to hook up and launch it will definitely break loose before breaking parts so I'm not feeling the need to move to a Strange or Dana just yet especially with my brand new 489 Pumpkin. **DISREGARD THIS QUESTION I JUST LOOKED PICS OF 1350 VS. 7290 AND I'M ORDERING A 1350** This is why I'm here to learn :)

Also been trying to educate myself on everything necessary to the Procharging and Damn there's a lot to learn. Some concerns already about my fan package clearance and trying to get a grasp on whether or not I should go to a blower cam. My current cam is .540" lift and 286/236 duration

I was just going to recommend you compare a couple pic's.......It's obvious the 1350 is a steak and potato's kind of guy, and the 7290 leans more towards Subway and an occasional salad. Naw...just messin. Pretty sure the 7290 is only about 1/16" smaller in diameter at the caps. But with that being said, why not have little more beef on your plate when it comes to holding the driveline together.

First Ride of the Year :)

I rolled the car out of the garage today to install the new Putco LED's (mentioned in a thread by TheMechanic) and after getting those done and making sure everything still worked (which at the time it did) I got the car started... sputtering.. backfiring and just so loaded up it didn't wanna do anything for me. So I figured since it was such a nice sunny day might as well go clean her out!! Just got out for about 20 minutes keeping the RPM's up to clean it out and noticed the Signals stopped flashing so I'm going to have to change to an electronic flasher which I've seen mentioned by various people (including Kahn who also noted polarity does matter!)

Prop I did end up ordering the 1350 from Cass and just waiting for it to show up... definitely a steak and potatoes kinda guy :)

We're in for a couple days of rain and I'm supposed to go get my Procharger, brackets and pulleys on Friday so will be great to get everything home and start planning the install.

I'm still smiling ear to ear from my short ride!

damm that pro-charger is sexy as hell, and for the learning of it make sure you have a good tune and have everything working together. i learned the hard way with 3 turbo cars. get a really good dyno tune guy that knows what hes doing. you get that monster tuned and its gonna feel like your in a rocket ship. its gonna be awesome goon.

Doesn't that feel great! Man do I hate parking them but it sure makes for a glorious day when you finally do get them back out.

Thanks USA, I'm excited for when I'll finally be able to get it on and set up. I definitely plan to book a dyno day for tuning once it's set to go I have access to a Chassis Dyno about half hour from my place... already have my number in mind I need to beat ... 620 at the wheels. (that's what a factory Hellcat made on a chassis dyno)

You can say that again!! Few days of rain here now then cooling back off so mine will be sitting again but we need the rain so no hard feelings.

Correction to above I already have an electronic flasher as I have updated wiring/fuse box. what I need is a "No Load Flasher" like this one shown: http://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/hfm-ff552nlf/overview/

go goon. pics on the street would be cool...... just sayin.

This year one of my goals is to definitely try and take some cool pics, action shots and I have a dash cam now so get some videos as well. My GF has a nice camera and has an interest in photography so I'm hoping she can help me out with this.

So yesterday was a Good Friday! :) I didn't get my car out but I did get a ride in Kamcuda's 70 Cuda Vert which was awesome while we made some rounds meeting good car people, seeing his Procharged Roadrunner (rad was out so couldn't go for a spin) and picking up my new(used) Procharger.

Here's a couple pics from the garage just going over how the brackets work. This set is for the Drivers side. Speedy not sure if the P1SC is the same size but if you need a template for brackets I could trace these out on cardboard and mail them to you.

One thing is for sure with the Procharger somethings are going to have to move. Going to be tight around my electric fan package (4 fans was awesome until now lol) I'm gonna spend some time today mulling over different install methods and what will need to go where.

I'll include a few pics of Kamcuda's set up as well... different from mine though is he has his engine mounted down 1 1/2" and back 2"

I was going to suggest what the pictured car did, put the radiator in front of the core support. I'm looking into doing the same when I add the A/C because things will get super tight adding another belt and it's already tight.

The Bird sure does look Great, still hoping to attend the Mopar show up there this Summer but the wife is starting to back out so it might be me and Kahn?

your car looking bada$$ an angry. lights look nice an bright. mmmmm 620 @ the wheels. the plates will have to be changed to pissed off bird. lmao

Moving the rad was the initial thought but I might be ok with clearance from the crank pulley to my fan package the more I look at it. The tough spot was the water pump which will go by the wayside for an electric so it would be really nice if the rad stayed put and have room for my IC in front of it

Really hoping you guys can make it here in August and of course if your wife can't make it Kahn is more than welcome!

Thanks USA! All in good time, I'm quite a ways away from being able to make all the changes to add boost financially so in the meantime just spend time learning and planning! The big pissoff is all the things I bought last year for N/A before I decided on going this route that I need to change or buy again (ignition, intake, carb, fuel delivery) I guess I'll have some parts to sell!

Looking slick goon!

So how would you rate the plasma bulbs? Worth it or not?

Hey Prop, They're worth the money as far as brightness impact goes for sure. I'm struggling with a problem though of both sides not being equal brightness (Drivers side front and back is significantly brighter than passenger side) Need to get a meter on and see what the draw is on both sides I guess?

Hmmmm.......Being they have such a small draw I would imagine it wouldn't take a whole lot of voltage difference to make a difference in brightness. Let us know what you come up with.
