i bought the car for $6000 because it was 99% rust free and in really good shape with 55,000 miles.i have waited ayear because moveing to florida from maine was enough and finally about 8 months ago i started assembling parts and ironically i parted out a verry rusted 67 coronet in the early 90's for the drive train to put in a D 150 that became the first sleepar. so i have come full circle and am restoreing 'the parts car'. i have had a 67 318 in all my mopars from a D 500 farm truck to a 99 1500 4x4. i like the simplicity of points and no emmissions.i bought a spedo cluster off E bay that was toast and sent it out to bobs spedomters so if i messed it up its not as big a deal
View attachment 188847conversion to voltsmeter from amp meter. these will help me to be able to put things back this was a turning point puting the fromt suspension and brakes together after painting the engine bay inside and out i didnt break the seals on the ac so i was carefull moving the pump around SSBS this was a lot of fab to mount the booster up with out the extension brackets and with out a manual pedal assembly... the prop. valve is under the dash by the e-brake handle the lines surround the fuse box. i would not recomend this kit go mopar from another year or car and convert mopar to mopar for the same or less money.nice clean engine bay painted with hi temp engine enamel VHT rattle can i used east wood primer from a can with foam brushes and all the rust spots got some rust converter all my fastners got put ion a mayo jar full of laquor thinner and tumbled around then in the left over eastwood can and on to a plastic sheet then painted on a 318 i went with the small runner weiand stealth intake and gaslet matched the ports to the large size port Edelbrock heads The engine bay turns into my work bench because a pallet fits between the inner fenders space is tight in a 10'x20' storage and i do a lot of cleaning sitting on a milk create and i fill jugs of water but i do have power it appears that my timing cover was made in 99 upside downridge reaminglike magic its done.... If I say whats in there it wouldnt be a sleeper. its got std.bore KB167 pistons on stock crank and shot peened rods every bolt is arp with a mopar windage traycam is basically stock 340 specs 2 days before my girlfriends birthday.... there back in i rebuilt the '66 A727 transmission and seals and now im working on painting the underside of the floor
