six pack is only running with 8 to 10 inches at idle , goes up to 18 at 1500 rpm's. power brakes have hard pedal at idle, good at high rpms. then back to a hard brake pedal after one use. how can i get more vacuum for brakes?

How is your vacuum accumulator? If it's holding fine with no leaks, it should be good for 2-3 brake applications just fine from that higher rpm 18", even after you turn off the engine and have no vacuum at all.

if you are talking about a vacuum can, i don't have one. i have thought of putting one on but their seems to be no practical place for one.

you might need to re-curve the ignition if your running a non stock cam.

We followed Lews advice on the timing and picked up 2-3 of vac.
