Oh Why Oh Why Oh Why do people insist on storing their precious hoods on the cowl points?

This amounts to 'cruelty to sheet metal'!!

There are 2 nice long FLAT sides on each and every hood, yet people continue to post pictures of hoods sitting on the 'points'.

For the love of Mopar, peeps, quit bending the fragile hood points, M'KAY????? Your body guy will thank you!!! hood.jpg

On the side is the only way to go for MOST hoods.

lol! i've always rested mine on the points. learn something new everyday. thanks Headliner :)

Glad to help! I was browsing the parts forums here and saw yet another nice hood sitting like that so thought I'd vent a bit... 'Save the hoods!':headbang:

If I cant lay a hood flat. I'll lay a blanket down a lay it on the side. So the side of hood lays on the blanket and not on the bare floor.

I have to temporarily store my hood, so I put packing styrofoam under the points. Good idea to store on the side.....................................MO

Mine is laying flat on the roof beam connecting points on the garage's 2nd floor. Guess I'm safe :)

I guess I have always hung mine on the wall to keep it out of the way.
