Hi, I'm really happy I found this site and it seems there is a wealth of knowledge here. I work in China most of the time, but I'm from Missouri and just bought this 67 Satellite.. I'm building a 426 street wedge motor for it. It's a pretty complete car, but the trim is pretty bad all around and replacing it seems pretty expensive. I'm converting it from an auto to 4-speed, and the console parts seem outrageously high. Any tips on that?
Thanks!
Kevin

Was not much trim on the gtx in 67 no side trim at all maybe some wheel moldings. Flip top fuel cap, trunk lid tail trim, grill and window trim was about it. If you are not trying to dup it to exact GTX spec. any 68 to 70 4 spd console should work, the right top for the shifter maybe hard to find. Lots of auto cars and fue 4 spds. You have picked a nice car to start with and should make a good combination. My first Mopar was a 66 belvedere that seen its last road miles in 82 just simply wore it out. Have wished I had kept it many times but just was not possible at the time.

welcome.. If you are cloning using original exhaust you might need one of these if not already equipped, dimples for mounting holes will already be in sheet metal behind rear seat drivers side:

It's already a big block car, so it has dual exhaust. I am thinking about some headers for the 426 motor.. Hooker maybe?

Yea, I'm lucky there is not so much trim. Wheel opening moldings, C-pillar trim, and I'll need either new bumpers or just dip mine... but the worst is the rear deck finish panel/tail light bezel assembly. Mine is pretty rough, and its the silver type, and I'd really prefer the satin black style. It seems easy to replace with repops if you don't mind spending ~$600...:icon_redface:

this is the welcome wagon mostly for intros & getting to know each other...

allot more people will see your tech questions or parts &
various build questions, in the other specific forums
