The elusive little rubber brake push rod retainer -

27.jpg

You can try the BRake man but good luck ever getting a response. Wont buy from mancinis ever again after there shipping charges . So never looked there..

x2 on the shipping. I did see in another post that a guy had good luck using a piece of hose.

I always just use a small section of fuel hose, cut to the same length.

Mancini is the only place that I have been able to find them.

you can make them with a small piece of hose or a thick o-ring.

Thanks for the replies!

I thought about using a piece of hose and good to know some of you had success doing that. My only concern is to use a rubber hose that is resistant to brake fluid and I don't think vacuum or fuel hose is. Might need EPDM.

.......So a little research and I find EPDM hose at my favorite supply house http://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-epdm-rubber-tubing/=wuqrlr And once I get the size I'll be ordering a foot.

Bought 5 , will have to look at package for address, very reasonable. I think I called dr. diff who sells on ebay. I will post tomorrow. jms

Don't know where to get a replacement. .. hope you all are using something in addition to the rubber piece to keep the brake rod from getting out falling down and resulting in no brakes.... I have seen a few drag cars go into the sand or much worse because of this...

Dr. Diff. 406-883-4772 good to deal with. jms
