Well I was driving home from work in my 97 Plymouth breeze tonight. I got about half way home, stopped at a stop sign and the damn thing died. It turns over good but it wont fire. Tomorrow Im going to check to see if I have fuel pressure, and spark anybody have this happen to them?

Could be any number of things. I guess see what you dont have. Spark, fuel...etc. then we can go from there

Sounds like electric fuel pump died. Have someone open the gas cap and listen for a electric motor sound when you turn the key to run; no sound, check pressure. You an get a gauge from Autozone free of charge on their rental program.

Good luck.

P.S. If you need a fuel pump, buy a new one not just the electric motor and it will go quicker.

how did it die ? shut off fast like ignition failure ? stumble for a bit ? Have you ever had the timing belt replaced ? I've the the belts shear a few teeth off out of the blew. Most of the time it happens on start up, but can happen while driving also.

tried it again this morning and it started????Thinking maybe a fuel filter. I would think if its a sensor or the fuel pump it wouldn't have started at all.

That's very odd. Of it was just the fuel it would of stumble a little not just turned off. Maybe you have a loss ign wire ,after starting it grab wires and start shaking see if anything happens.

spray H20 under hood.....look for flash in dark garage....fuel pump?...wow! weird...was it raining?

Crank shaft position sensor or camshaft position sensor. See if you can retrieve any diagnostic trouble codes.
These sensors can fail when hot, and once they cool off and contract a little, the tiny circuitry inside can make contact again and the car will start. A lot of times the crank sensor will not set a dtc though

The camshaft position sensor is located right next to the egr. I have heard of them failing due to the close proximity.
