I've found over the past couple of years that shipping the smaller lighter stuff with UPS/FedX seems to run around 15 bucks while the PO is much cheaper for that. On the other hand, the larger heavier stuff is cheaper with UPS etc and the PO gets a bit crazy.

This is a little off subject but I wanted to add that my hood scoop from Sled City was indeed packaged very well and arrived in excellent shape, just FYI.

Thanks for the attaboy. It's great to hear positives from a happy customer.

Follow-up. I called Mancini this morning, and my axle studs and cover are being drop shipped from the Manufacturer, and the axle ratio tag (just the small tag) was shipped by itself USPS (5.25 in shipping.) Received the tag today, no info on the drop shipments? Not sure why the tag was shipped by itself, could have saved $5.25 if it was in the first box I received?

Another week gone by still waiting for parts....

I've done business with Mancini for many years, before restorations when these cars were just old used cars. In over 30 years, they have been nothing but a top-notch company, great parts and service.

Don't think about ! That's normal with MANCINI ! They do not answer emails, they let you pay for parts, which are not in the parcel. They don't give a sh.. on customers from Europe, i think.

Thanks god, there are shops like STEPHENS PERFORMANCE !

Shipping in general has gotten crazy. Altho I think that was a high price on shipping a few bolts, the new size vs weight thing is nuts!

We just shipped a takeoff tailgate to Michigan. Quoted the customer $46, this covers freight, supplies and my guys time, ok? After final packaging, our dimensions we a few inches bigger than what we based our ship quote on. SHAZZAM!! $88 and change.... my cost... I dam near had a heart attack. So cut trim, cut trim, to get it "under" whatever the threshold was......

A few years back a friend ordered a set of T-bars from them and they charged him 135.00 just for shipping. I've shipped several sets across the country for around 30-40.00 a set. I've never had any problems myself with them and they do carry some real nice stuff but 135.00 shipping is pretty dang bad. My friend will never buy from them again.

Today the information age, we have companies and industry information providers who tell us business owners what is a suggested way to do things. This came up not long ago in the industry to review how things get done, and more will follow. It was brought up by an automotive trade journal how we handle shipping costs etc. The article explained that we as a industry could reduce cost and manage shipping cost by partnering with a single vendor such as UPS, FEDEX etc. We could get a lower rate then regular rates and still charge regular rates to customers. We could see as much as a 25% reduction in shipping cost and putting that money in our pocket. It went on to talk about the cost of shipping supplies (which are not free) the person to box up and weigh the product being shipped, and the person to manage getting the boxes to the shipper and verifying track information. These logistics had a real cost and nobody thought about those costs when selling product. Todays information age those costs can be calculated and tracked and then deducted from what ever profit you perceived you were making. Most companies have begun to charge for the service cost to package and ship items to customers. We are all about the item price when making a purchase so if your selling on the internet you want the lowest advertised price. Then add shipping and handling fees back on the end to cover those costs.. As a consumer we should concern ourselves with the overall cost and stop looking at just the purchase price. Business trade groups are out there to figure this stuff out and get you to buy from where you think you get the best deal, it does not always work out that way....

Yes. I felt I was over-charged for shipping every time I bought from them. A lot of people love them though. But I think it's because they only sell Mopar.

440Source pays the shipping on anything over $100.
I just placed two separate orders from them, Got great service, fast shipping and no frt charges...plus they have the greatest prices on everything they carry versus other companys that carry similiar items.
I recommend them highly.

I just placed two orders last Wednesday. One from Jegs for paint, pan bolts and a gasket. The other order was from 440 Source, new oil pan. Got the Jegs order in three days. Gasket backordered so I cancelled it. (can buy it local)
I've been tracking the 440 Source order. It went within twenty miles right past my location, now it's 200 miles to the south and heading back up. Supposed to be here on Monday the 27th. Almost two weeks? What's up with that?
Bought a carb on Flea Bay Monday from a seller in Spokane Washington, received it today...

I buy pretty much everything from Summit,if you go to the website they have way more than listed in the catalog.Just bought carpet for the barracuda and at the same price as everyone else but the shipping is free and was on the porch in 2 days.

Shipping, in general is NUTS! The pricing structure for FedEx, UPS & USPS is a mystery to me. Recently I've started physically bringing boxes to both USPS & FedEx to get comparison prices on parts I ship. I also have started to cut & fit boxes to the part. Obviously not feasible for a retail operation. FedEx seems to have a "minimum" no matter how small or light the box is. I have been happy with Mancini, but the shipping cost has been unknown. Jegs free shipping & handling on over $30 has been excellent for me & really GREAT customer service.

I have not had any issues with Mancini and they will ship to Canada. Can't say that for all vendors.
I find that Year One gouges on shipping.
Jegs only uses FedEx and FedEx gouges me with brokerage fees.
Internet shopping for competitive / reasonable pricing has to take shipping cost into account. Many places have cheap prices but then hit you with shipping and handling costs.

You can get rates on line that's right on with the actual cost. You can save 15% if you have an account.
