So have at it boys, which one. I am liking at 2" primaries, tti are nice but a big buck to spend especially ceramic coated. I can get Dougs coated for almost a third of the cost and just as great construction. Thanks all.

I run a set of the 2" Doug's 452's on my RB 512. Both fit and construction are real good. I bought the bare headers and had them ceramic coated black locally.

I have the same set as prop but bought mine already ceramic coated. Agreed fit and construction are great... didn't have to make any dents or force anything to fit

Here' a pic of my Doug's... now don't tell me those aren't pretty!

I have TTi's on my Charger with a 440. I had to jack the motor up a bit to get one side installed - no big deal though. I also have a set on my 451 in the Road Runner. These went in real nice with no motor lifting required. I did have to grind a small corner off my bell housing on the passenger side for this set to fit. The only complaint I have is that both sets are very close to the trans crossmember on the drivers side. On the Road Runner and the B engine I was not able to use a band or u-clamp on the collector to h- pipe on this connection. I stuck a pry bar in this area, tightened everything else up, and welded this joint.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I think I will go with Dougs but in the black ceramic coat...

I'm in the middle of installing Dougs ceramic coated 452's in my 66 coronet with 440. Passenger side was a breeze and the fit was perfect. I did slap a bunch of painters tape on them to keep from scratching them up and bought a rebuilt mini starter for the drivers side. Got one for a 88 dodge diplomat ($73.00). Can't beat that.

Nice ct, we'll have the d452's coming but in the ceramic black. Can't wait for the added heat barrier from the ceramic!

Never used Doug's but I love my TTI's. Ron

Finished the Dougs header installation on my 66 Coronet. They fit like a glove. I had 1 spark plug that was a little hard to get to but all the others were easy. I think I also put a little too much tape on to keep from scratching them and was a little bit of a pain to get off. I'm a happy camper.

For TTI headers, would you suggest getting them directly from TTI or might a person buy them at a better cost thru Summit or Jegs and get better customer service of needed?

Thanks!

This is a great thread as I was thinking about a set of Dougs with the 2" primaries and 3.5" collectors. I have the info to now do it. Thanks,MIke

Give Bill at Chicago Connection a call. They had the best pricing when I was shopping around.

Can you point me in the direction of black ceramic coated headers? I only see high temp coated which I assume isn't the same as ceramic. Would love to see them. Do they come in any other size besides 2" primaries?

For TTI, use a vendor. Do not buy direct.
