Hey Fellas,

Any thoughts on this issue that just started (last couple days) Going through the gears no issue then occasionally in one gear for a prolonged period of time the car will start to chug like it's not getting fuel. If I clutch in and give it a shot it clears itself out then continue as normal. Sometimes will do it again quickly and other times no problem at all.

Any ideas what might cause this?

that's what it feels like.... starving for fuel but only occasionally? Sign that the pump is going or start looking somewhere else?

Mechanical or electric pump? Wonder if it's some vapor lock.Is your cell or tank vented well?

Do you have a fuel filter in line and is it on the pressure side of the pump just figured I ask.

Hard to check a mechanical pump. You can also give the filter a blow and make sure it's not clogged in any way.
You would have to disconnect the fuel line before the carb, figure how to gravity feed the carb so you could do a fuel flow test into a gas can by running a hose from the disconnected fuel line into a gas can while gravity feeding the carb.

If that makes ant sense to you,,,,lol

I have had mechanical pumps pass the above fuel flow test and were still junk. System needs to be checked under pressure at the carb.
