correct shiffter for 70 super bee

I was wondering what the correct shifter is in our #'s matching 383 4 spd.? all the other numbers seem to match. we have a Hurst shifter with a brown colored ball knob. we heard that all 70 bees have the pistol grip shifter

Check the vin on tranny maybe it was switch but pistol grip is what it should ne

Pistol grip grips were not always available. If they broke handles were often changed to the round shaft and ball or distroyed by cutting the handle of and welding a bolt to it for a different handle. Would like to kick the person that did it to mine.
