A friend of mine recently gave me a pair of 1157 red led light bulbs. Installed them on my 69 roadrunner. Rear lights are twice as bright as the normal 1157 bulb. So I ordered amber led lights for the front. The front parking lights (turn signal) are very hard to see. Should get them in the mail soon. This is a great safety feature!

I read somewhere that you should always get white LED's unless your lens is clear.

Updated: disregard....bad info

no, use the red LED in the rear, not the white...it will be "redder" because of the color spectrum

if you plan on putting LED in front, you will need the LED flasher because the stock flasher will not work

LED flasher was something new to me - can't you just put a resistor in series with the led?

May i ask what auto parts store did you buy the LED Bulbs & Flasher please...

purchased everything on ebay. 4 Amber lights for front signals were around 20$ with shipping. flasher 11$. Checked some of the usual parts stores some have the lights but not the flasher. One local store said they could order the flasher at 25$

cheap fix to dull lights. can always go back to regular lights with little expense or work.

Not to sound stupid but i was looking there are tons is one better than others plus they have different brightness is one better or not to much or less is better plus the flasher there are different ones .... Just asking to see what ones have worked best for your car.. My car is a 66 Plymouth Satellite.. just want to make a good choice for both the front ones & rear one and the flasher.

My flasher is coming in the mail today. Ill get it hooked up and post how everything works out.

That would be great i also see they make Led bulbs for the dash panel to i am looking at those on Ebay please keep us posted..

Thanks Mark

That's cool let me know how those work. could use some more light there definetly. I forgot to mention I installed a led in the dome light. that helped a lot.

Scratch the flasher don't need it. Load resistor for each light. Not to bad to install

Installed LED in tail lights and also installed a no load flasher with ground. Nothing worked, no lights, no directionals.

What did I do wrong. 63 Dodge if that matters

Thanks
