huge crack pipes being smoked

Started it out for 100 bucks......you think it's being shilled?
 
Shilled? 100 is just the starting bid. 2850 to buy it now. Its on here for 2400, which is probably the reserve. Probably worth it with the air duct.

yes, it is a bit high, but after the seller sits on it for a while
he will bulge off it if he does want to sell.
it does look to be in pretty good shape..

i'm real curious as to what the op thinks its worth??????

LOL , its not that I cant afford it, and I suppose its worth whatever someone is willing to pay. but holy jesus, maybe im just old and out of touch , but I cant see that hood being worth any more than 1500 , but what do I know. I guess im the only one that thinks 3,000 bucks is just a little rich. I fell out of my wheelchair when I saw that listing.

ok..... now we are getting somewhere......... we have established a range, 1500-2850......... the truth lies somewhere in the middle
 
come on give the guy a brake.
he has a chevvvellllle in the garage that's worth at least 80k
 
It has rust eating through the frame from behind you can see it in the second pic. I think the only thing really worth anything is the grabber assembly. And I can't believe they go for over 600.00
 
I agree that the prices some people are asking are insane. You have all those people who say they want to see these cars come back to life and then you throw prices out that are dumb. To much Greed. Then you have the people who buy every part they can and sell them double the price when they do not even need the part. It makes people want to walk away. Im not poor by any means! but i am realistic.
 
I make sure my parts go to someone in need and not a scalper!
 
Why would it be purple and orange? If it was "original" wouldn't it be all one color? Just asking as I really don't know. Unless it is 2 hoods made into one, which means it isn't necessarily the "real deal".

OK I googled it and found out they can be orange under the hood, but I couldn't find any orange scoops on a purple car.
