Hey all,

Just wanted to see what I would need linkage-wise to ensure that the six pack setup I have will operate my 727 properly when I put it on top of the 383 (maybe a 440 if I find one soon) I have in my 67 Coronet.

Obviously, with there being no original setup in 67, I wanted to make sure that getting 69-70 B body six pack linkages/brackets would be the way to go for a bolt on, factory style install with minimal fabrication or custom work. I don't want to buy $400 linkage to find out it is completely unusable.

Thanks :)

Well before you get any further intake s won't interchange between a 383 and a 440
361-383-400 bb motors 440 and 426 rb motors
So first things first what did the intake come off of ?

Will not look original, but Lokar offers a cable setup witch works nicely.

I have a 383 now, but may do a 440 this year...I know I will have to get a new intake manifold either way as I only have the carbs, throttle linkage and air filter assembly...no intake so it'll be the last thing I buy after I set up the carbs (which already have the quickfuel metering plates to adjust for whatever engine setup I go with).

Before I get ready to make the conversion, I wanted to make sure I had all the proper brackets and "little stuff" I would need to ensure that I can have the carb mounted and begin tuning them the same day without having to scour the internet and wait days/weeks for parts.

I think the Lokar setup may work for me...especially if it isbetter than the stock setup as I am not concerned about originality at this point with a non-factory engine, rear end, six pack, etc :)
